Application Engineer
Your mission
You determine a technical design for adaptation of customized installations and/or design of engineered solutions. You make quotes and advise local sales colleagues on this.
The role
As an Application Engineer you are responsible for preparing proposals for customized and engineered products. You interpret requests from (potential) customers and evaluate them both technically and commercially. Based on that, you work out a technical basic design and you calculate the associated costs. You take the requirements of the customer into account and you do not lose sight of the feasibility in terms of design. You hereby focus on customer satisfaction and you have a proactive communication with the external party. You are responsible for developing a documented offer. Once the order has been received, you transfer the project to the project team. It is always important to remain involved in the implementation of the projects in order to contribute to efficient implementation and profit maximization.
Skills and experience
- You have completed a technical education with Bachelor degree, for example in the field of Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Technology.
- You have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in an international technical environment.
- You have several years of experience with customers in the oil & gas industry or petrochemicals.
- You have experience with making P&ID’s.

- You master the English language spoken and written. German and Dutch are an advantage.
