Regional Complaints Manager – EMEA Region [Netherlands]


 

Primary Function:

Provide Complaint Quality System leadership and tactical as well as technical support to regional manufacturing sites, TPMs, and affiliates. Provides expertise and fosters continuous improvement by leading development and execution of the Safeguard program within the Complaint area of responsibility. Support effective and compliant implementation of ongoing projects in support of Division's strategic initiatives. This position will report to the Global Complaints Manager. This position requires fluent English speaking.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities include but not limited to:

    CAPA / Complaint quality system management

  • Functional and strategic quality compliance leadership

  • Performance monitoring and risk assessment

  • Training and onboarding

  • Lead strategic initiatives and projects

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead program enhancements to the Complaints quality system within region of responsibility.

  • Management of product events and issues in region and working with multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams both regionally and globally.

  • Promote sound, quality principles while minimizing cost increases and potential disruptions to business.

  • Provide training to ensure compliance with identified quality goals and standards.

  • Regional management of metrics and analysis of trend data with regional plants and TPMs

  • Provide overall technical and documentation support to plants, TPMs, division, and affiliates.

  • Manage projects and programs as assigned by Management.

  • Represent the Region for QA on Cross-Region/Divisional and/or Corporate teams.

  • Serve as the regional QA liaison on Quality System matters.

  • Act as Regional technical resource regarding Quality Systems and compliance.

  • Implement and manage quality systems and training programs as necessary in region.

  • Integrate key AQR initiatives in region as appropriate, based on compliance risk and availability of resources and business processes to support.

  • Initiate policies, procedures and systems that will ensure divisional requirements are met.

Position Accountability / Scope:

Position reports to and is accountable to the Manager, Global Complaints. Quality issues can have significant adverse effect on Abbott customer confidence, worldwide image and the performance of Abbott stock. The position requires independent work and effective communication with key individuals within Abbott Nutrition. It requires the capability of making recommendations in the best interest of Abbott Nutrition, without compromising quality. The quality of AN products is a competitive advantage in the market place, and any lessening of our standards can have an adverse long-term impact on our business.

Travel: Approximately 25%

Minimum Experience and Knowledge:

  • Five to seven years in a regulated nutritional food-manufacturing environment, preferably pediatric or medical nutrition products, in a Quality, R&D, or Operations function

  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulations for quality systems and compliance

  • Management of complex projects or programs 2-3 years

  • Success will depend on good problem-solving abilities and knowledge in nutritional manufacturing controls and quality systems.

  • Familiarity with regulations and regulators in multiple countries.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and project management skills

  • Continuous improvement methods and application (for example: Lean, Six Sigma, Class A, etc.).

  • Cross-functional/cross-divisional experiences

  • Applicable technical knowledge/experience

  • Sound decision-making skills contributing to high levels of competence, confidence and credibility

  • Capable of understanding and overcoming diverse cultural and language obstacles to provide solutions that satisfy corporate, regional, and local objectives.

  • Capable of analyzing data to support the development of strategies to effectively manage the action plans that will resolve the issues

  • Fluent in English
