Role Overview:
We are seeking for an exceptional Sr. Social Media Executive, to support in executing JD brand's global marketing vision across the Netherlands and Belgium Market. To advance the JD brand, maximising awareness and connection to the consumers creating engaging and exciting social media plans across the NL/BE Market.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing and translating the global social media strategy into a locally relevant market strategy, maintaining brand DNA and tone of voice and alignment with the overall country goals. The successful candidate will also be responsible for creating localized content, identifying relevant and on-brand opportunities to generate awareness and engagement for the brand, whilst actively managing the social media community.
The JD Marketing team puts the consumer at the heart of what we do to develop campaigns, content, partnerships, activations & events that elevate the JD brand and maximise consumer impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Senior Social Media Manager to align and translate the global social media strategy into a relevant market strategy, maintaining brand DNA and tone of voice.
- Create and share reports on social media performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Work collaboratively with the regional marketing and e-commerce team and global social team, to ensure social media campaigns are integrated into wider marketing strategies.
- Work with brands and third parties on promoting campaigns and competitions;
- Manage and control briefs to the creative agency, ensuring that all content produced is on-brand and aligned with strategic objectives.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest social media trends and insights, ensuring that all activities are aligned with industry best practices.
- Carry out strategies and develop new channels ideas to improve follower numbers and interaction figures across all channels.
- Continuously build on and improve the social media channels for JD NL/BE channels across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and other channels
- Actively maintain and manage the community within these platforms.
- Identify locally relevant and on-brand opportunities to generate awareness and engagement for the brand, ensuring that all social media activities support the brand's strategic objectives.
- Monitor and analyze social media metrics to optimize content and campaigns, ensuring that all activities are data-driven.
- Set KPIs and benchmarks for social media performance, and work to exceed these targets.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge Needed:
- 3+ years of experience in social media marketing, preferably in a global or regional role.
- Must be fluent in Dutch and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and their role in brand building and engagement.
- A passion for social media and digital marketing, with a strong understanding of the latest trends and best practice.
- Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge of the sports & lifestyle and youth culture.
