This role will drive Food Safety and Quality Strategy development in IC BG and across BU’s.
You will be responsible for implementing and enforcing Unilever Global Standards across the Ice Cream business. Ensuring that all BUs are aligned and delivering the global IC BG program & improvements plans (including: IceMic, UMS, Golden Rules) to the agreed timelines will be pivotal in this role.
You will use key performance indicators to identify areas of focus and drive improvement.
This role will be the Quality business partner with R&D, Procurement, Engineering, SC, and Brand (BG and BU level).
You will be a key part of E2E Quality Transformation Agenda.
Key Responsibilities:
Highlights:
- Part of the EU IC BU Quality Leadership team,
- Driving the IC Quality program to deliver competitive advantage for the BG.
- Identifying key systematic quality challenges in the IC BG/BUs and making sure the right programs are in place to address.
- Leveraging the talents of the Quality team across BU and SUs to deliver key priorities with speed.
- Establishes the strategy to ensure that Quality Management Systems are implemented and maintained across all parts of the Ice Cream business (including External Partners) in accordance with UL standards, as well as external regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Business to plan and execute product launches in-house and with our External Manufacturing Partners. Bringing Consumer Voice (Product quality) and quality requirements (Product Safety), costs, timelines and investments needed (CAPEX)
- Represents quality at Investor Board level.
- Ensuring IC Quality is leading edge on leveraging digital and technologies to win.
- Supporting the development of a strong Quality culture within the BU across all functions.
- Accountable for Budget and CAPEX within Quality Organization and related KPIs
- Preparation of Executive summaries as required.
Professional Skills & Competencies:
- Demonstrable experience in a technical roles (Quality, SC , R&D)
- A broad and comprehensive understanding of Quality Systems, GMP and Quality One
- Experience of working in/with Sourcing units (factories)
- Experience of working with External Manufacturing Partners
- Experience of virtual team working.
- Strong customer/consumer Quality mind-set. You will have a passion for the consumer and our products.
- Project, risk and change management practitioner
- Digitally enabled with an aptitude for new technologies.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Strong influencing skills.
- Strong team player.
- Knowledge of Ice Cream or Foods business essential.
The role currently reports to the Ice Cream BU Quality Lead.
