Tasks
As a Piping Engineer you are responsible for designing and drawing pipe routings in yachts and ships. Every project is new and different in complexity. You are responsible for the detail engineering of the piping for engine rooms, ventilation systems and sanitary facilities. Using 3D models, diagrams and detailed drawings such as Isometrics.
Your work includes:
- The translation of complex piping diagrams to 3D pipe routings in Cadmatic;
- Providing manufacturing drawings, bending information, parts lists and construction
- By looking at the classification system of yachts/ships, you know exactly which requirements the product must meet.
- You model equipment and keep the 3D ship model up to date.
The ship- or yachtbuilding is your passion. You are challenged by converting complex piping diagrams into 3D routings. You need sufficient technical expertise, combined with a real go-getter mentality. You are proactive and pragmatic. You are self-critical and you work very accurately.
In addition, you preferably have:
- A completed education Bsc Mechanical engineering or similar
- Excellent knowledge of Cadmatic or Siemens NX and Autocad;
- You have strong communication skills in English, both in speaking and writing
- EU citizenship required
